Guide for the CityVille Aquarium Upgrade

A new building is being put on the upgrading block in CityVille – the Aquarium. Unlike the upgrades of the previous community buildings, this one is a little easier to achieve and gives nice bonuses as well. So read on to find out everything about the CityVille Aquarium upgrade and, of course, for the upgrade material links!

In order to upgrade your Aquarium to level 2, you must be at least level 14 yourself and have at least 800 population.

If you meet the requirements, you will see the upgrade arrow above the Aquarium and you can start the upgrade, which is pretty simple and only requires collecting two materials: Seahorses and Starfish:

After completing the upgrade of the Aquarium to level 2, it will have a brand new look and allow 520 population.

For a level 3 Aquarium, things are similar, but you need 20 of each of the materials and after completing the upgrade, the new building will support 1,100 population.

How to Boost Your Population in CityVille After the Latest Update

If you don’t want to fill your CityVille city with residential buildings, but you want to have as many people as possible living in your city, there is now a chance after Zynga has introduced in the game the concept of Dynamic Population increase: starting today, every time you collect from a residence it has a chance to drop additional population!



This means that now residences have a basic population cap (population that you get when you finish the building) and a maximum population cap, which will be reached randomly after collecting from that type of building.
Also, the amount of each “upgrade” of the population cap varies according to the maximum population of each residence

These population drops are rare, however, and according to Zynga, the only way to increase the chances of seeing them dropped and therefore seeing your population increased is to collect often from your residential buildings!

CityVille Leader of the Pack Timed Mission Released

Zynga has released a new timed mission in CityVille, showing us that they’ll probably focus more on goals with a time limit in the game.
Titled Leader of the Pack, the new CityVille mission comes with a bunch of new in-game items we’re going to talk about a little bit later.

Until then, let’s check out the requirements for completing the Cyclist Statue timed mission in CityVille:
- Ask 20 friends to join your Bike Crew
- Send 100 Tour Buses
- Collect from Water Bottling Plant 2 times

This timed mission must be completed withing three days and it’s more difficult than it seems to be because of the Water Bottling Plant requirement: you first have to buy the new building for 125,000 coins and 12 neighbors to staff it.

Then, since the Water Bottling plant recharges every 24 hours, you will need to ask your friends to hurry the production to be able to complete the mission requirement in time.
It’s going to be really difficult, but this new timed mission is only here for the Pros, since it is only available to players level 50 or above.

If you manage to complete the Leader of the Pack timed mission in time, you will receive a nice reward: the Golden Trophy award, a Boulevard Apartment, a Cyclist Statue and 28,000 coins.
